Simple Past

 As far as English is concerned, we're gonna deal with the Simple Past today. That is the tense which reports about things that happened in the past, e.g. yesterday, last year, last month or in 2018. 

 

The dog jumped over the fence yesterday. (+)

The dog didn't jump over the wall yesterday. (-)

Did the dog jump over the gate yesterday? (?)
