English Tenses (Übersicht)

 

ACTIVE                                                            PASSIVE

Simple Present

Johnny writes a book.                                      A book is written.

Authors write books.                                        Books are written.

Mrs Wilson teaches me.                                   I am taught.


Present Progressive

The mechanic is repairing the car.                   The car is being repaired.

The mechanics are repairing the cars.             The cars are being repaired.

The doctor is examining me.                            I am being examined.


Simple Past

Johnny wrote a letter.                                       A letter was written.

Johnny wrote e-mails.                                      E-mails were written.


Present Perfect

He has done the homework.                            The homework has been done.

He has cleaned the tables.                                The tables have been cleaned.


Present Perfect Progressive

He has been doing the homework.                  The homework has been being done.

He has been washing the cars.                         The cars have been being washed.


Past Progressive

Luca was watching a show.                               A show was being watched.

Lucy was watching clowns.                               Clowns were being watched.


Past Perfect

Tommy had played tennis.                                Tennis had been played.


Past Perfect Progressive

Tim had been watching the show.                     The show had been being watched.


Will-Future

Tom will write a novel.                                     A novel will be written.


Future perfect

Tom will have written a poem.                         A poem will have been written.


Future Progressive

Tom will be writing a paper.                            A paper will be being written.


Future Perfect Progressive

They will have been building a wall.               A wall will have been being built.


Conditional-Formen wie Will-Formen, mit "would" statt "will".
